VoRotarian – Nikita Turbaevskyi (Zorya)

In general, there is a correct principle – the team loses, therefore, each of its players also suffers a personal defeat. However, Turbaevsky, in our opinion, is the last person to whom you can ask questions about the “men’s derby” and even Sosa’s goal. On the contrary, Nikita kept the intrigue in this confrontation until the end with his bright saves, although, objectively speaking, without his seven deflected goals, everything in this match would have been decided earlier. Turbaevskiy pulled the punches of Amoroso, Ilych, Mykytyshyn, Kozhushka and the same Sosa. Some of them are absolutely killer.

Prsenior defender – Ilya Putria (LZ Cherkasy)

In the match against Ingulets, the high, speedy flanks of LNZ left a vivid impression. Moreover, to the same extent, because Topalov also worked very well in terms of attack (other skills as a linear winger, of course, still need to be improved). It was after his submission that Yashari punched, and Putrya managed to finish and opened the score. After the break, Ilya himself broke through the opponent’s goal, and scored against the Petrov team again after a ruckus (Nonikashvili’s discount led to a small “fire”, which was successfully used by Putria). A double from the LNZ rookie brought victory to the team even with an unrealized penalty – his own and the opponent’s.

Itcentral defender – Jean Pedrozu (Carpathians)

The Lviv derby ended with the victory of the Carpathians – and it was secured by the Brazilian defender Pedrozu (a summer newcomer from Curitiba). It was Zhan who successfully took a free kick from Miroshnichenko and sent the only ball in this match into the goal of Rukh. In addition, Pedrosa played quite well in defense, complementing the duet with the defender of the national team of Moldova, Baboglo. If Vladyslav worked more in grassroots martial arts, then Zhan – in equestrian. In addition, Pedroz was noted for density, blocking a number of shots from the home team.

Itcentral defender – Semen Vovchenko (Veres)

In general, the Odesa match had a difficult start for Vovchenko – especially regarding the game of Petryak, who was repeatedly “lost” by the Rivne defense. In the first moment, Semyon lost a horse fight and the winger of Chornomorets punched from the left corner of the goalkeeper’s area, in the second – Ivan “stuck” away from the defender of Veres and shot from the right edge of the goalkeeper, so that Morozko cut into his own goal. But just as Veres calmed down after the “stormy” start, so Vovchenko gradually began to win more and more fights and act on interceptions, tackles and rebounds. What Godi or Dakhnovsky failed to do, Semen did after the kick-out and the rebound – he simply shot the goal and saved the team from an away defeat.

Leedefender – Pedro Enrique (Shakhtar)

In the reporting round, three right defenders immediately played at a high level, but on the opposite flank, mostly, the fullbacks did not act flawlessly. However, among others, I would like to mention Pedro Enrique (before the return of old Pedrinho, he asked to be called Pedrinho, now he has changed his playing name). Pedro, first of all, had a difficult confrontation with the Giant-Tsurikov connection – and if at first he lost to them, then over time he adjusted his work and won this difficult duel. For a play-calling defender, Enrique excelled in tackles and defensive tackles in space – winning plenty of goals on interceptions, rebounds and tackles. In the end, Pedro Enrique became a participant in the episode in which compatriot Diego Santos from Colos stopped him with a throw-off and started a productive combination that ended with an own goal by Konopli. However, the referee, taking into account the foul against the defender in the initial phase, did not count the taking of the goal.

Itcentral midfielder – Volodymyr Brazhko (Dynamo)

He not only performed a large amount of work in the center of the field, but also led the passing – it was after Brazhko’s pass that Vanat was able to open the scoring right away in his debut. However, in the course of the first productive attack, it was Volodymyr who launched a free cross from Vladyslav, after which the ball ricocheted to Shaparenko. Vanat scored the third goal against Oboloni after a fine pass by Brazhko. And the fifth – after Volodymyr’s long shot after Shaparenko’s pass. Brazhko performed all these offensive actions without losing quality in the direct work of the defender, because he won most of the single combats and performed high-quality passing at various distances.

Prcentral midfielder – Oleksandr Karavaev (Dynamo)

It is nice to see with what passion and immersion in the game Karavaev acted in his main position of right midfielder. Even in the first half, the speedy winger could score himself, hitting the outside of the net, and served the center forward well, picking up a pass from the wing to Vanat. But immediately after the break, Oleksandr scored with a good shot after a timely transfer of the ball from Kabaev. It is quite possible that injuries and game problems of competitors will allow Karavaev to return to his favorite point of the field, well, at least in the domestic arena for sure.

Atdefensive midfielder – Georgy Sudakov (Shakhtar)

The entire first round of the championship of Ukraine this season takes place in high-quality distance competition between the two most status players of the Ukrainian Premier League – and Georgy Sudakov and Mykola Shaparenko operate completely on a round-by-round basis. We give preference to Sudakov, because his role in the difficult match in Kovalivka was more important – and in terms of the structure of the game, it was even decisive. Even before the break, Giorgiy had a shot at Pakholiuk’s goal, and in the second half he played a quick attack from deep with Zubkov for two, which he was ready to close with a pass with the heel, but Kosovar Krasnichi cut the ball into his own goal.

Lee2nd midfielder – Oleksandr Belyaev (FC Oleksandria)

At one time, in Dnipro, Dnipro-1 and the Turkish Henchlerbirliga, the former midfielder of the youth national team of Ukraine showed great hopes, and now, alongside the youth, Rotanya Belyaev is already an older and more experienced player. In the match with Vorskla, he participated in a combination game from the first minutes, after his diagonal Kozak delivered the first more or less dangerous blow of the match. Before the break, Oleksandr himself moved with a good shot, and after the rest, he made a good cross – but the active Bezerra just missed the ball. However, when Kravchenko served softly from the right wing, Belyaev – who is far from the tallest on the field – blocked his serve with his head. The goal gave the Alexandrians their second narrow win over Vorskla this year and also extended their stay in second place.

OnPadnik – Vladyslav Vanat (Dynamo)

Much criticism has fallen on Vanat in 2024, despite winning the top scorer title last season and memorable performances against Partizan, Rangers and RB Salzburg. But in the match against Obolon, Vladyslav played exactly as the experts, press and fans expected him to do. It was after his cross that the ball bounced to Shaparenko, who opened the score in the capital derby. Then he earned and converted a penalty, and also successfully started on Brazhko’s penetrating pass, scoring a double.

Onrider – Daniel Sosa (Kryvbas)

The striker of the Niger national team played a great match against Zori. Sosa broke through the Lugansk goal in the first half, and after the break produced a real extravaganza. First, after a throw-in from Ilyich, he pushed through the opponent on the left flank, jumped out on the goalkeeper and skillfully shot into the far corner – this goal, running ahead, turned out to be the winner. Later, he hit the bar himself and managed to redirect the ball to Amoroso, and Matteo Marciovic hit the crossbar. In total, he hit the “men” goal six times and shook the goal frame twice.

Coach of the tour – Oleksandr Shovkovskyi (Dynamo)

On the eve of a difficult away match against Roma and All-Ukrainian Classic Dynamo, they tested their attacking model in the Kyiv derby – 15 shots, 8 of which hit the goal plane, a noticeable advantage in possession of the ball and at the same time a bright game of the leaders. This is the third consecutive victory of the Dynamo team in the championship of Ukraine, two of them are crushing, the unbeaten streak of Shovkovsky’s wards in the domestic arena is 11 matches and stretches back to the May defeat against Shakhtar in the UPL season 2023/24.

The best young player of the tour – Matteo Amoroso (Kryvbas)

This is Matteo Marciovych’s fifth match in the championship of Ukraine, and now we see that the successor of the Brazilian-Italian football dynasty really has prospects in the UPL. In the match against Kryvbas, he played brilliantly in the center of the field, actively helped the attacker Sosa and himself several times broke through Turbaevsky’s goal – including by shaking the crossbar of Zora. It is clear that the 21-year-old midfielder is just gaining momentum, so our nomination is an advance for further success of Amoroso Jr.

We do not dare to assert that the player of the Niger national team of Ghanaian origin knows how important the match against Zorya is for his head coach and in whose time Luhansk football players began to be called “men”.
